The Youthful Enthusiasm of Dana Brand →
A great tribute to the beloved and dearly departed Dana Brand by our friend Greg Prince
David Einhorn in the 2006 World Series of Poker.
ESPN reports that the parameters of Einhorn’s deal with the New York Mets allows him the potential to become the controlling majority owner of the team.

It's About Time, Fred
Imagine this: An employer pays more than 90% of his competition for employees to ensure he gets the cream of the crop in terms of talent for his company. But for many years, the company not only tanks but is a public embarrassment for both its failures on and off the field.
Finally, the boss of the company expresses some displeasure at the employees - employees he can’t fire because they...

Giants Have Internal Discussions About Trading For... →
As much as it pains me to say, I don’t see the Mets paying Reyes.
He’s reportedly targeting a seven-year, $142 million deal similar to what the Red Sox paid Carl Crawford this winter, but will he get it and what team will pay him that much?
Then again…who would have thought the Nationals would have paid $126 million over seven years for Jayson Werth?
