oldtimefamilybaseball:

Thanks to a post on NotGraphs alerting me to Nick Punto’s “Fashion Jersey”, I spent a sizable portion of my night trying to hunt down other examples of the uniform equivalent of Design Your Own Pottery. Quite frankly, Jeff Francouer has shown that he has as good an eye for fashion as he does for the strike zone. While Francouer seems to be going for a Clemson motif, it seems more like something my grandmother would wear because she thinks dog paws are “cute.”
I’m not sure who at MLB thought that fans would shell out $120 dollars for these atrocities, but they clearly misread that market. They’ve probably been rewarded with a promotion to President of Social Media by now.
So far, I’ve only seen Twins, Mets, Yankees and Phillies jerseys (with a particularly uninspired Rauuuuul one designed by Ibanez), but please send me more if you hunt them down. And if you’re  dedicated crazy unbelievably  rich and have nothing better to spend your money on, please buy one and photograph yourself. You will probably receive some sort of prize from me and the world.
