Mets doctors have advised Reyes and the team not to rush him back for Opening Day on Monday against the Marlins, and the team plans to comply with the doctors’ orders. Though no official announcement has been made, the plan is to place Reyes on the disabled list and back-date it so he could be ready for the fifth game of the season next Saturday versus the Nationals.
