Seven days into his major-league adventure, Ike Davis is working hard on keeping calm, getting acclimated. The whirlwind is slowing down. Each day, it all gets a little more real. There’s another game today. For the suddenly resurgent Mets, there is something to believe in, a fresh hope, a new first baseman. It’s nice to have something to believe in.
