rubenfeld: Dana Brand, Mets fan, professor, dies I had Professor Brand for two semesters of the humanities section of Hofstra’s freshman honors seminar, known as Culture & Expression. He was one of the best instructors I’ve ever had, and I will miss him. This was a shock to me and very sad news. Dana is one of the most passionate Met fans I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. Rest in peace, Dana. Gone way too soon.
